Two more magazine cover design's

This is my design draft for my school magazine. Majority of the front cover will be taken up by the image and the masthead will be in the top right hand corner. I have left space underneath it for cover lines. My large image is big because to catch the reader or someone passing by's attention. My image will be of a student which will hopefully attract a younger audience if they see a picture of their peer on the front cover.
This is my third design draft for my school magazine. This has been split down the middle from right to left leaving the top half to have my masthead with plenty of room and my bottom half to have a image which is quiet large so it attracts the reader or someone passing by's attention. Also it's colourful so it appeals to a younger audience. My cover lines is the space in the middle which separates the masthead from the image.

Photography

In these two lessons I learnt how to apply my camera angles knowledge in my photos.
Created with flickr slideshow.

My first school magazine cover

The Masthead is in black fancy capital lettering which make's it appealing and catches the readers eye.The magazine cover doesn't look like it's a adult made/suited magazine, and with the different range of colours and drawings it makes it appealing to a younger audience, which is good because it's aimed at the students of plantsbrook. With my cover lines I have ranged the information from the youngest age group to the oldest so the magazine is suitable for all students. To raise the students attention towards the magazine I added a 'Puff' which is a free pencil case to make the student/reader go for this magazine. I have purposely used only four colours throughout my magazine cover (Black, white, green, brown) as they appear in the school's logo and to keep it within the same theme.
